STMA Travel basketball is for girls grades 4-8 who exhibit a strong commitment to developing basketball skills while competing at a higher level. It requires a greater commitment, in that each participant is expected to attend all practices and weekend tournaments.  To be eligible for STMA Girls Basketball Cub traveling basketball program, players must live or attend a school within the STMA School District.

Travel Volunteer Hours for the 2023-2024 Season

As you plan for our 2023-2024 travel basketball season, we want to provide clarity around the volunteer hours required from families in the STMA Girls Basketball Program.

• A volunteer check for $300 is required to be submitted at tryouts, and will be destroyed upon completion of hours listed below.
• Families with ONE player are required to work 6 hours.
• Families with TWO or more players are required to work 8 hours.
• If you are chosen to coach, coaching staff's families are required to complete a combined 4 hours for the team. Example, a team with two coaches share the 4 hours between those coaches or their spouses.  We appreciate your commitment to the program and all the hours you put in!  
• We will be using DIBS to track volunteer hours this season.
• Hours should be fulfilled during the STMA home basketball tournament in January.  If other accommodations need to be made or if you have questions, please contact our Concessions & Volunteer Director.

Our mandatory Parent/Player meeting will be held Thursday, September 21st in the STMA High School cafeteria.

• 6:15 - 7:00 pm - Coaches Meeting
• 7:00 - 8:00 pm - Parent/Player Meeting
• 8:00 - 8:30 pm - Team Meeting with Coach
